Summary of the answers on this page.

Who it is for

Who is Pixxoft Stock designed for?

It is designed for small and growing manufacturers, with cosmetics, skincare and personal-care makers as the closest fit. It was built for Ceyora Cosmetics, a cosmetics manufacturer in Sri Lanka. Soap, candle and other small-batch formulated-product makers can use it with some caveats, and resellers and distributors can use the inventory, purchasing and sales parts without manufacturing.

Is it suitable for pharmacies, restaurants or complex assembly manufacturing?

Not at present. It does not support prescriptions or regulatory records, restaurant menu and table workflows, or multi-level assemblies with sub-components and work-in-progress stages. We would rather say so now than after a demo.

Inventory and expiry

How does expiry tracking work?

Every lot carries an expiry date, taken from the supplier or worked out from the material's shelf life. Expired lots are excluded from use and sale, a nightly job marks past-dated lots as expired and alerts staff, and near-expiry warnings use a configurable window. Lots entered as opening balances have no expiry date.

Can I trace a finished product back to the ingredient lots it came from?

The data supports it: each batch records the lots it consumed, and each sale records the lot and batch it was taken from. Today you can follow this one lot at a time through the lot screen. There is not yet a dedicated one-click recall or end-to-end traceability report.

Manufacturing and formulas

How do formulas and batches work?

Each product has a versioned per-unit formula that locks once a batch uses it. You plan a batch in finished units, check material availability, substitute short ingredients or record a shortage note, then complete the batch with produced and rejected units. Good units become a finished-goods lot. Formulas are single-level, and there is no work-in-progress stage, scheduling or quality-control approval.

Costing and reports

How is product cost calculated?

Materials are costed at a moving weighted average, with lots chosen oldest-first. A completed batch adds packaging and batch overhead lines, removes the cost of leftover bulk, and divides by good units. A separate live Computed Cost shows today's estimated cost to make a product from current prices.

Is it accounting software? Does it handle tax or invoices?

No. It is an inventory, manufacturing and costing system. It does not calculate tax, produce tax invoices or credit notes, or keep payables and receivables ledgers. Profit figures are management reports, not statutory accounts. Printable receipts are available for sales.

What reports can I export?

Thirteen operational reports can be viewed on screen and exported as CSV or PDF. The Business Profit & Break-Even report can be exported as CSV. Users without cost visibility do not see cost, value or margin columns. Reports are not emailed or scheduled.

Installation and packages

What does a dedicated installation mean?

The intention is to install a separate copy of the system, with its own database, for each client business. The hosting arrangements, who manages the server and what is included in an installation are subject to confirmation during consultation.

Subject to confirmation

What are the packages, and can I choose modules?

There are three: Starter Inventory (core inventory, purchasing, sales and reporting), Manufacturing Inventory (Starter plus formulas, production, costing and assets) and Advanced / Custom (any valid combination of the 13 optional modules). Package scope is confirmed during consultation.

Getting started

What do we need to get started?

A modern web browser, and a Google account (Gmail or Google Workspace) for each user, because sign-in is through Google. Opening stock and master data are currently entered by hand, as there is no import tool yet. The interface is in English and shows amounts in Sri Lankan rupees; other currencies, branding and tax needs are discussed during consultation. A phone browser works for day-to-day use.

Does it connect to other systems?

Not currently. There are no integrations with e-commerce platforms, accounting software, email or barcode scanners. If you need one, tell us when you request a demo so it can be scoped as custom work.

How do I request a demo or pricing?

Use the demo request form on the contact page. Pricing has not been published, so we will discuss your requirements and the package that fits, then confirm pricing with you.

Data, backup and support

Who owns our data, and how are backups and support handled?

The system includes a scheduled nightly database backup routine. Data ownership terms, backup retention and off-site copies, restore arrangements, and support hours and response times are all subject to confirmation and will be agreed in writing for your installation. We do not quote fixed response times until they are agreed.
